Nordiske Skakproblemer

This edition is based on the original text, published by Wilhelm
Priors Forlag, Copenhagen, 879, with only slight changes, such
as converting diagram numbers to arabic numerals, and drop-
ping som old-fashioned typographical conventions. The cor-
rections found on the last page have been introduced in the
diagrams (87 and 98).
All problems have been computer-checked, apart from 68,
which stipulates a fidated knight. Matthieu Leschemelle’s Pro-
blemist 2.20 has been the main testing endgine, but for longer
programs Heiner Marxen’s Chest was used.
Serious cooks have been indicated in the stipulation by [†] (no
solution), [*] (several solutions), and [§] (short solution). Further
notes can be found in brackets in the solutions.
The solutions have been converted from long algebraic nota-
tion to short, but no further changes have been introduced. The
notation corresponds to German notation, with D, T, L repre-
senting Queen, Rook and Bishop respectively.
