The Gaslite Motel

A crippled, anxiety-ridden Philosophy student becomes a tourist-motel night clerk in suburban Orange County in the early 1980s, working for a stern entrepreneur from Taiwan and an alcoholic couple who manage the day shift. They are later replaced by an Evangelical Pentecostal couple. Together they witness crime, vice, love and grace in a world that refuses to be simplified.
